A refreshed homepage and a new filter

Hey everyone, let’s jump right into the updates for this week. We’ve been busy!

Refreshed homepage

As winter turns to spring, we felt it was high time for a new look when you come into the site. A lot has changed in the six or so months since we started building Visor, but the core mission has stayed the same: help consumers like you to buy a car, not to help a dealer sell one.

We think this homepage is the clearest expression of our story yet, and we love that it highlights our core mission, who we are, and why we’re here to help you.

New filter unlocked: Days for sale!

This one has been a long time coming, and way overdue. For a while now, you’ve been able to sort by days for sale, but not filter on it. How silly is that?

This week, that changes. Now you’ll be able to see where listings sit in terms of how long they’ve been on the market and filter to your heart’s content.

Other fixes and improvements

  • Fixed an issue where “branded title” listing reports were not showing after submitting.

  • We’ve relaxed some of the guardrails around our listing note submission system. We felt it was being way too over-restrictive.

  • Made it so that only US postal codes show in the search radius input if you’re in the US, and only Canadian codes if you’re in Canada.

  • Improved the accuracy of our “days for sale” figure across the site.

  • Corrected certain models on the tariffs page - for example, the Lincoln Nautilus is actually assembled in China.

  • Improved the scrolling behavior on the filters page so that the top panel overlays correctly.

What’s next

  • As a first step towards what we’re calling “agnostic search,” we’ll soon be giving you the ability to search on a specific dealer’s inventory, regardless of make/model.

  • We’ve identified even more accuracy improvements to be made to the Installed Options filter - we’ll call this out when it’s ready!

  • A lot more planned on the roadmap
