Table View Distance Sorting Bug

If you click the Distance heading in Table view, it shows the Up Arrow and correctly shows listings with increasing distance from where it imagines I live. If you click it again, it then shows the Double Arrow and reverts to a sort using increasing Days on Lot. Shouldn’t it change to a Down Arrow and show vehicles which are increasingly closer to me? That would be consistent with the other heading sorts that are available.

    Hey @Barry Shonbeck - This is intentional. We figured that it is unlikely you will want to see vehicles that are as far away as possible from you. What do you think?

      I fully agree that sorting with the furthest away at the top of the table would be a seldom used feature (at least I can’t think of such a need). However my experience is that users appreciate a consistent interface. When the other table heading sorts behave with an Up or Down functionality, having one that is inconsistent just raises questions. The user then has to deduce that what they are actually seeing appears to be an increasing Days On Lot sort.

      If you feel that is too much trouble just for consistency, I would then say that defaulting to Days On Lot is likely not the column that users of your site are most interested in. Personally I would choose an ascending List Price.
