Branded title exclusion does not work well
Searching for a Honda Odyssey, lots of listings that I've seen already on other sites that I know have branded titles. One where I even clicked the link to the original listing and it said “branded title" right in the description. Isn't that what the filter is supposed to exclude? Maybe because the description was in a collapsed section in the listing page it didn't work?

Hey folks -
Thanks for your detailed feedback on this feature. It’s incredibly frustrating to us as well that this information is not more easily accessible to make a reliable filter for. NMVTIS at one point allowed for companies to pay a one-time sum for access to their title/brand database, but unfortunately they are no longer accepting new companies. The companies that do offer access to this data through their APIs do so at a cost that is inaccessible for us right now. Fortunately, we are getting close to widely incorporating a new processing engine for listings that should make things much more accurate overall, including branded title identification. Appreciate the tip about AA BRO AUTO SALES - I will exclude them from results ASAP.

Agreed. For example, there’s a store in Dallas (AA BRO AUTO SALES INC in Dallas, TX) and 100% of their business is buying wrecked cars and fixing them. Every listing is marked “Rebuilt title & Clean title” on their site. Having these under-priced cars in the mix throws things off.
Not sure if places like NICB provide an API you could use to truly validate VINs instead of trying to pattern match description text, but that would be ideal.
