Allow Customers to Provide Exploding Offers

I’m not sure how connected you all are with dealers, but:

I see a Porsche 911 for sale by a dealer (listed at $45k) which I could be into if they dropped the price to $40k. I as the customer log that “I’d be into this car for $40k”, which is presented to the dealer.

If a few weeks go by, and the dealer hasn’t sold, they now have a list of “bidders” they can reach out to to say the price has fallen.

I could see this being a differentiator which could entice dealers to bring inventory directly to you all versus being an aggregator. Maybe you could charge dealers for the ability to see the list or something.

“Exploding offers” is a fun way to put it! We are in the early stages of conceptualizing / working on a model in this area, but it is still a ways away. We want to be very careful with our dealer relationships, because it’s important to maintain our position as an unbiased information resource (which there is no one else besides us right now). Thanks for this idea.
