New listing view 📋

We were pretty happy with how the old listing view came out after we made it, but we couldn’t help but feel like it could be even better. In imagining what an improved version would look like, we wanted to have the following questions answered:

• Is it a good deal?

• How likely is it to sell in the next week if I don’t act now?

• What do recalls and complaints look like for this model year?

• How has the listing price changed over the entire history of vehicle?

We don’t think we’ve quite answered the first question yet, but we have something pretty sweet in store to do it justice. Stay tuned.

Canada market support 🇨🇦

Quite a few of you recently have politely asked us to support the Canada market. While both of us have only ever been to Canada to go fishing, we figured we might as well let you northerners go fishing too… for cars. So, if you live in Canada, you don’t need to do anything except visit the site and start searching! Have fun seeing the whole market :)

Fixes and improvements

• Fixed quite a few bugs on the mobile website and generally made text bigger and more tappable.

• In using the site ourselves, we found it quite annoying when a listing posted at $1M would skew the entire price range distribution. Starting today, you’ll see that the price range for models that we don’t expect to exceed $250K is capped as such. We hope this helps you read the distribution of pricing on the filters page much more easily.

• Visual refinements to map listing popups. We think they look much snazzier now.

• Replaced “Trending” with “Recent” searches in the search popup.

• Improved the behavior of clicking on new listings in your saved searches. The map icon shouldn’t disappear after you click it anymore.

• We’re really pumped to start working on a feature we’ve wanted since day one of Visor - plate/VIN/listing search! In a few days, you’ll be able to input a vin, a US plate number, or (maybe) even a listing link, and we’ll show you everything you need to know about that vehicle.
