So far, Visor has helped you go from an idea of what kind of vehicle you want, all the way to the lot of the dealership with the best deal on the market. But between test drives, negotiation, and paperwork - it still takes a lot of effort and headache before you drive off the lot with that deal.

While we have big ideas on how we can make this easier (all while putting you first), we thought we’d start with that sneaky, oft-ignored document that can add thousands to your purchase: the deal sheet.

The challenge with deal sheets

The deal sheet, quote, or “t sheet” is the document the dealer generates when you want to see how much you’ll end up paying after add-ons, taxes, trade-in, and fees. As you may already know, deal sheets come in many different formats (yes, that’s a screenshot of a dealer’s computer in the top right 💀).

For a while, it was inconceivable to try and automatically extract crucial information from quotes with so much variation… until now.

Finally, get the real breakdown on your deal

Starting today, when you receive a deal sheet from a dealer, you can upload it into Visor and get the (semi)-complete breakdown on the deal they’re offering. We’ll auto-magically scan for:

• Pricing including discounts and rebates

• Dealer add-ons

• Service contracts

• Fees

• Trade-in valuation

• Taxes

From your deal, so that you can see all the numbers in one consistent format. We’ll even give you advice on some of these numbers so that you can more easily negotiate with the dealer. Not sure what a certain fee or dealer add-on means (looking at you “CA TIF,” “CHP FEE,” or “RECOVR”)? Click the ? icon next to the name to see a common sense explanation.

Your Privacy 🔐

Deal sheets often contain sensitive information like addresses and phone numbers. At Visor, we’re highly protective of your privacy, which is why we created a unique document redaction method to make sure we don’t have access to any of your sensitive information. The redaction method we’ve created will detect sensitive information in the document with high accuracy and put digital “black tape” over it. We’ll only ever store this redacted version of your deal sheet. We have taken great lengths to maximize the security of processing with the cloud providers we work with. While we’re still working on the ability for you to delete your deal sheet, feel free to email us if you’d like all of your deal sheet information removed from our servers.

What’s next for Deal Check

Deal Check is currently available to all users, completely free, while it’s in beta. Despite our extensive testing, this feature may be prone to mistakes or inaccuracies, so please forgive any hiccups. What’s available today is just the beginning of a long list of additional features we want to add into Deal Check:

Other fixes and improvements

• Fixed a bug where the email input was not focusable on the sign in page

• In the event there are no similar listings for a given listing, we will not show the “Similar Listings” component

• Resolved an issue where the account page was blank when navigating to it (thanks Peter!)
