There’s a distinct moment in a car shopping journey when you go from browsing to hunting. You’ve dialed in the exact spec you want, and now it’s game on to lie in wait for the best deal.

The new saved searches page celebrates this moment. Whether you’re willing to wait for days or months, this updated experience will give you the insight you need to find the best deal. We compiled what we think are the six most important indicators to evaluating the market at any point in time: inventory, days on lot, list price, and sales velocity.

When closing in on the exact vehicle you’re looking for, it can be immensely important to know where the vehicle was over its lifetime. Was it sitting outside a on a snowy lot in Kalamazoo Michigan for 100 days? How much did it originally sell for? How many different dealers has it been to? All of these questions and more can be answered by looking at previous seller info. For most used vehicles, we have info stretching back to 2013 - so if you’re hunting an older model year, we may have a LOT of history to show you.

A new data delivery method

For the past few weeks, Cole has been getting us into shape to deliver on the next big set of features for Visor. To do this, we’ve had to completely overhaul our data delivery service. Those of you who use the site on the daily may have noticed an embarrassing number of glitches and short outages as we transitioned to this new service - thank you for hanging on while we’ve worked through these issues!

What’s next

This week, we’re heads down on whipping our mobile apps into shape. It’s been far too long since they have gotten the TLC they deserve. We may or may not have some super secret projects going on, but don’t look over there 👀 (at least not yet).
