What’s that, a VIDEO changelog?! That’s right - starting today, we’re going to voice over the weekly changelog so that you can see our beautiful(?) faces.
We’ve heard from quite a few of you that saw a listing with a great price, only discover that it has a bad CarFax. womp womp. While we still cannot definitively determine the title status of the 2.7 million active used listings in our catalog yet, we can search within the listing notes for keywords like “salvage,” “branded,” “hail damage,” etc to exclude obvious lemons. We can also use keyword search to look for “one owner” and “clean title!” We have a lot of other keywords in mind to come 🔜
Sometimes when you’re looking at listing photos, you don’t want to look at them just one at a time, but instead quickly scroll through them to get a sense of the quality of that listing. Now, instead of taking you straight into the full gallery view, we’ll let you see this preview first. Simply click the photo you want to zoom in on again to get back to the full gallery view.
When shopping for used cars, there are certain things you may want to see right up front: the mileage (obviously), CarFax, and warranty status. Starting today, for some used vehicles, you’ll be able to glance the original manufacturer warranty status near the top of the listing to determine if it’s fully active, partially active, expiring, or fully expired. We’re working on expanding this feature to all vehicles, so bear with us!
Before, the pricing information on listings was a bit scattered. We wanted to improve the flow of the listing page and make sure all pricing information was clearly laid out.
In addition to the pricing history you’re used to seeing, you’ll now see a tab called “Leaderboard” for used or certified listings. This is where we want to benchmark the listing you’re looking at against similar vehicles with about the same mileage. In the top right, you can select the parameters you want to compare against to other listings. In the table, you can see how this listing stacks up against others. We hope this helps with negotiations and general gut-checking of the market. Stay tuned for something like this, but for new vehicles.
For certain vehicles, it can be easy to get lost in all of the inventory available. Before, we were showing you which listings you had already seen on the map, but now you can also see this in the list view.
Adjusted the layout of the Market Velocity section of the listing page on mobile.
Added a tooltip for the “Missing mileage” button on the filters page.
Fixed an issue where favorites were not opening the correct listing.
Options have been indexed for all makes/models! Now, instead of seeing the option code (like “1FT” or “XPROT”), you’ll see the actual name that corresponds to that option code.
Alright, seriously, we SWEAR we’re still working on market alerts. There are a lot of pieces that had to come into place to enable this feature, and we’re getting very close to putting them all together. Thank you for your patience!
We just cleaned up our roadmap, so take a look at what’s in the “Planned” category. Lots of cool stuff is cooking.
